alpha is in normal ranges we are usually
calm, relaxed and feel good. We are
able to shift gears from Alpha's neutral
state very easily
In this stage our minds are
receptive to suggestion.
We can learn and absorb easily (Particularly
Children) We have heightened visualization
ability. Alpha is around from the
moment we close our eyes to relax.
Alpha can start to be induced
with relaxing, deep breathing and
by gently looking upwards whilst our
eyes are closed - as though looking
into our mind's eye! |

are in very deep relaxation
or light sleep, possibly even trance-like
Every

are usually in deep dreamless sleep.
The body is healing itself

Waves can be dominant when the body
is in the process of self healing
i.e. around illness or after physical
trauma.
Because
it is a very slow brainwave it is
not always easy to entrain toward
but, when possible, it is
an extremely
healing brainwave!
It
stimulates the limbic system which
is associated with emotions by soothing
the neurons that control emotions
and autonomic functions - resulting
in an effective
chronic pain easer, reducing migraines,
fibromyalgia and blood pressure |

this brainwave is Present in every
part of the brain,
Gamma is not often referred to, Gamma
is believed to be associated with
overall mental cognition and heightened
consciousness, it is the organizer
of our brain
It
acts as the Project Leader of our
brain, consolidating and coordinating
information from the different parts
to simultaneously process this.
It
is associated with good memory, quick
thought and a higher ability to process
complex information and tasks
Deficiency
of this brainwave can create learning
difficulties |
